M and P: Happy Halloween and Happy 40th Anniversary, Pam & Paul!

As usual, the last few weeks have flown by. For the last few months, I have been just a little excited about our first Halloween with Patrick. I bought Patrick's costume a few months in advance and then decided that a family costume would be fun. Paul was a little resistant to the idea but in the end he gave in.. thanks, Paul!

We had some very special guests join us for Halloween. My parents 40th anniversary was Saturday, November 1, so my parents and sisters flew across the country so we could all be together as a family. It was a memorable trip... to say the least. Two days before they arrived, the stomach flu struck me and then Paul. We were symptom free when they arrived so we were hopeful that our visitors would stay healthy, but that was not in the cards. Over the course of the weekend, every else got sick. Putting that aside, we still had some great moments enjoying Halloween, San Carlos, and Patrick.

Speaking of Patrick, he's getting better at sitting every day. He's super aware of everything going on around him. His first tooth poked through right before he turned five months, and now has two teeth! Solids are going OK. He's tried sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas and peas. He seems to still love milk the most!

As far as personality, he's a pretty happy dude who loves meeting new people. Yesterday I went to a basketball game while Paul was on a work trip, so Aunt Paty stepped in to watch the little guy and he was a dream. Didn't even notice when I left and he happily played for a few hours before going to bed. Love this kid!

We're gearing up for Thanksgiving in LA with the Wynnes and Carrieros and a big east coast Christmas trip so Patrick can meet all of his family. This next month is going to go very fast for sure.
